This was the development of a new community on the outskirts of Hitchin’s residential area, close to the banks of the River Purwell. The scheme comprises a mixture of dwellings and tenures: 75 apartments, 20 maisonettes and 10 street front houses using fast-track, offsite timber building techniques.
The 1, 2 and 3 bed properties are enhanced by the use of contrasting and complimentary materials and the development includes a central, family-friendly amenity space. There is safe pedestrian access throughout and residents’ children are able to interact within a secure play zone.
